Foreign Concept
About
Foreign Concept has firmly established himself as one of the most versatile and forward thinking artists in drum and bass. Hailing from South London and now based in Bristol, he first emerged in 2009 and quickly gained recognition for his refined production style and infectious, genre blurring DJ sets.
By 2011, after standout releases on Samurai Music and Ingredients Records, he caught the attention of Critical Music boss Kasra, who swiftly signed him exclusively to the label. Tracks like “Mob Justice” earned critical acclaim and secured support from top-tier names including Andy C, Friction, Hype, S.P.Y., and DJ Marky. His music consistently hit No.1 across major download platforms and became club staples worldwide.
A turntablist since 2004, Foreign Concept’s DJ sets have become known for their dynamic range fusing future-facing selections with nods to the genre’s roots. This unique blend has taken him across the global festival circuit and into iconic clubs, earning him a loyal following.
In recent years, he’s continued to evolve, releasing on influential labels such as Shogun Audio and 1985 Music, and collaborating with the likes of Enei, Phase, Magugu, Slay, and Roxiie Reese. His sound is unmistakably his own melodic, weighty, and constantly innovating.
With a steady stream of new music and an ever-growing presence on the international stage, Foreign Concept remains at the forefront of modern drum and bass.
